With more than 20 years of experience in information technology I support companies, freelancers and private clients in the planning, implementation and optimization of IT and software solutions.
The Path to IT
My enthusiasm for computers began in the mid-1980s. I gained my first experience in 1985 with a Commodore C16. Shortly afterwards systems such as the Amiga 500, Amiga 2000 and later the Amiga 4000 with the CyberGraphX graphics system followed.
At an early stage I became deeply involved in programming and developed my own software. During this time I worked with BASIC, Motorola-68xxx assembler as well as Amiga-E.
In 1997 I published my own graphics tool for CyberGraphX on the well-known Amiga software archive Aminet . The tool cyberscan.lha was published in February 1997 in the graphics software section.
Professional Background
My professional career began at Deutsche Bundespost with vocational training as a telecommunications technician. For many years I worked in the fields of telecommunications, network technology and measurement technology.
With increasing digitalization my focus shifted more and more towards IT systems, software development and network infrastructure.
After various positions within Deutsche Telekom I most recently worked as a Senior Test Manager in the field of Internet backbone systems.
As part of Deutsche Telekom’s internal idea management program several of my improvement proposals were implemented. One of these proposals received the highest bonus level and resulted in savings of around 2 million euros.
Self-Employment
Since 2009 I have been working as an independent IT service provider and operate an independent IT consultancy under the domain w-werk.de.
The word mark W-WERK® has been registered since May 25, 2010 at the German Patent and Trademark Office under the number 30 2010 025 798.
